Transforming the carbon capture industry by delivering high performance, cost and energy efficient carbon dioxide capture to industrial emitters, including hard to abate sectors, at an economically feasible cost. Cool Planet Technologies’ advanced membrane process offers a unique, flexible, scalable and environmentally friendly capture solution.

Our core strategy is to help companies meet their net zero commitments by significantly reducing the cost of removing carbon dioxide from their industrial flue gas emissions by designing, building and selling carbon capture solutions using our unique membrane-based process.

Over 30 years’ experience with EOG Resources, RWE DEA, ATP Oil & Gas, MOSGAS and Conoco. Project manager for over 20 years with significant experience in the development of SNS fields.  Founded Vision Oil & Gas, an outsourced project management company, which at its peak, had over $1 billion of projects under management and employed over 30 people. Founder of Volta Oil & Gas.  Andrew holds a BSc in Electronics from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST).

Vicary Gibbs

Chief Financial Officer

Over 25 years’ experience in Investment Banking advising companies on M&A, capital raising and restructuring transactions. He has worked for a number of investment banks including Bank of Montreal, Bank of America, Deutsche Bank and Robert Fleming & Co. He is now an experienced UK plc director, having served as the CFO at Jersey Oil and Gas. Most recently he was the CFO of Fadel Partners. which he joined in 2022 to help take the company through a successful IPO on the UK AIM market in early 2023.

Simon Gorringe

Chief Technology Officer

Board Member
Over 40 years’ experience in senior roles at BHP-Billiton, Conoco, NuEnergy, SOCO, Serica, and Kerr-McGee, leading several large offshore projects to production including FPSO’s, platforms, terminals and pipelines. Technical Director of Corsair Petroleum, and CH+ Resources operating in Vietnam, South East Asia, East Africa, Kazakhstan and the Arctic. Most recently was COO and then CEO of Andalas Energy and Power plc an AIM listed E&P focused on Indonesia and UK. Simon is a graduate of Chemical Engineering from UMIST and a Chartered Engineer.

Paul McGoldrick

General Counsel

Over 30 years’ experience in the lnternational oil & gas industry, covering Europe, Africa, the Middle East and the Caribbean. In-house counsel with Marathon Oil, ARCO/BP and Exxon Mobil. As a Partner in private practice, he advised international oil & gas companies, host governments and investors in relation to joint ventures, project developments, corporate/asset acquisitions and disposals, as well as agreements for production sharing, transportation, processing, marketing and sales. Until recently Paul was a Partner with a leading international law firm, advising on upstream oil & gas developments, decommissioning and energy transition projects.

Mark Purdy

Business Development Director

25 years’ experience in strategy, business development, commercial and subsurface at Equinor, Scotia Waterous, IHS CERA and Arthur Andersen. Led numerous acquisition and divestment transactions worldwide including the restructuring of Equinor’s UK portfolio. Participating in over USD $10 billion of other transactions in Europe, Africa, Asia and South America. Managed gas commercialisation projects in Europe, Africa, the Caspian and Asia. Mark has an MSc. Petroleum Geology from Imperial College and is a Fellow of the Geological Society.

Ad Corstanje

Project Manager

Ad Corstanje has over 35 years of experience in power generation, power distribution, onshore maintenance, onshore construction, offshore multidiscipline facilities design and engineering, construction, commissioning, installation, start-up, offshore electrification and de-commissioning/removal.

Chris Marsh

Project Engineer

Over 35 years’ experience as a mechanical, project engineer and commissioning manager working within the chemical, biotech, pharmaceutical and oil and gas sectors. Working on both small and larger projects of up to £750 million, from conception, design, construction through to managing commissioning and final handover. This has involved both brown and green field sites working alongside EPC contractors throughout Europe and Africa.

Steve Roser

Commercial Manager

28 years’ experience as a senior commercial manager with expertise across the gas supply chain primarily in the UKCS and European sector also worked in China (Shell) and USA (LNG), RWE (Ineos), Infrastrata, Hess, Egdon Resources, Bayerngas, Premier Oil, GE, Faroe Petroleum and Amerada Hess. An experienced negotiator with a sound technical background and project expertise across the gas supply chain, including commercialisation of crude oil and natural gas projects.

Bengt Carlström

Manufacturing Advisor

Over 40 years of international experience in pipe technology, manufacturing and production, corporate management, infrastructure design, development and financing in more than 90 countries. Extensive experience developing multinational business’ includes Director of Business Development Technocan International Ltd, Canada; Founder/ CEO of Africa Water Management Company, South Africa; President for International Operations of Saudi Arabian Amiantit Management and COO of the Hobas Group in Austria and Switzerland. Holder of several patents for the manufacturing of centrifugal and continuous filament winding of GRP pipes.

Alexander Rieder

Manufacturing Manager

Over 15 years’ experience with R&D projects and project management in the fields of water treatment technologies, biomedical engineering and renewable energies with special focus on efficient hydrogen production. Most recently he was working as a consulting engineer, supporting tax advisors and industry regarding R&D funding and beyond that engaging in basic research in the field of low energy nuclear reactions and hydrogen production. Alexander holds an MSc in technical physics from the Graz University of Technology and an MBA from the Vienna University of Technology.

Will McGoldrick

Contracts and Compliance Advisor

A graduate in both Music Technology and in Law, Will now combines his interest in technology with the business of law. He works closely with our business development, procurement, and finance teams, and is responsible for contract negotiation, regulatory compliance, and our database management. Will holds a BA in Music Technology, a post graduate Diploma in Law, and has completed the LPC.
